Applying for a visa

COVID-19 - The entry to Uruguay, regardless of a stamped visa, will be subject to compliance with the immigration and health regulations in force on the date of entry into the country.

Foreign nationals who require a visa and have been immunized, or are under 18 years of age, must complete a Traveler's Health Declaration after obtaining their visa. The declaration is available at:

www.gub.uy/tramites/declaracion-jurada-ingreso-uruguay-extranjeros-inmunizados-menores

In accordance with certain exceptional reasons for entry established by Presidential Decree 104/2020 and its amendments, foreign nationals who have not been immunized and require a visa must apply for an exceptional entry authorization through the website:

https://www.gub.uy/ingreso-uruguay-para-extranjeros-sin-inmunizar

Once the exceptional authorization is granted, the applicant will receive an email with a link where they can file the required Traveler's Health Declaration prior to their departure.
